Professor Rohan Jayasinghe is the Medical Director of the Cardiology Department at Gold Coast University Hospital, Professor of Cardiology at Griffith University, Clinical Professor of Medicine at Macquarie University Sydney, and adjunct Professor of Medicine at Bond University Gold Coast.
He is attached to Gold Coast University Hospital, Allamanda Hospital, Pindara Hospital, and John Flynn Hospital.
Professor Rohan qualified from Sydney University School of Medicine with 1st class honours and completed his training at major teaching hospitals in Sydney and Newcastle. He did further training in advanced interventional cardiology at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. He completed his PhD in Cardiovascular research at University of New South Wales.
Professor Rohan is also an academic researcher in the field of cardiology, having been widely published in medical magazines and journals globally. In recognition of his work, Prof. Jayasinghe is regularly invited to present at major meetings round the world.
Coronary angiography and angioplasty, echocardiography, management of chest pain and dyspnea, heart failure PFO closure(for stroke and migraine)and atrial fibrillation. He is also interested in risk factor modification management of hypertension and dyslipidaemia and cardiovascular risk mitigation in diabetes. He is an expert in coronary angiography, angioplasty and all areas of Cardiology.
Dr. Suminda Welagedara is an experienced senior general physician with a well-established expertise in internal medicine. He earned his primary medical degree from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka, where he developed a solid clinical foundation, including significant exposure to tropical diseases. In 2006, he moved to Australia to further his professional development.
Dr. Welagedara undertook advanced physician training and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General & Acute Care Medicine in 2016. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom and holds a Specialty Certificate in Acute Medicine (UK). Additionally, he has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, highlighting his dedication to ongoing learning and high standards of patient care.
Dr. Welagedara is also strongly committed to medical education. He plays an active role in mentoring and teaching basic and advanced physician trainees, as well as residents and medical students. He serves as a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University and holds an Honorary Adjunct Associate Professorship at Bond University. Furthermore, he contributes as a Clinical Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Currently, Dr. Welagedara practices as a general physician at Gold Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital. He accepts referrals for comprehensive medical evaluation and management, offering expert care to patients with both complex, chronic and acute medical conditions across the full range of general medicine.
Dr. Talib Aljumaily is a Senior Consultant Physician specializing in Diabetes and Obesity and General Endocrinology, with extensive experience gained across multiple countries, including Australia, the UK, and the UAE. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Basrah and completed his specialty training and qualifications with the Royal College of Physicians in London, UK.. His areas of special interest include Diabetes and its relationship with cardiovascular disease, as well as Obesity management.
